ZX2 cooling system parts
98 2.0L DOHC automatic with just over 100K. There is a two piece hose/pipe assembly that runs from the right side of the radiator (attaches to the second nipple up, from the bottom of the radiator), then runs along the front (right side of the car) of the engine, along the right side of the engine (between the engine and the firewall), is then routed up through a space in the intake manifold, and then attaches to one of the heater core nipples at the firewall. I live in the rust belt and the sections of this two piece assembly that are constructed of steel pipe have rotted through. Anyone know the part numbers for these parts or can you direct me where to get them online? Thank you for your time and consideration.

Re: ZX2 cooling system parts
Hopefully someone better informed will reply; meanwhile..... I get a lot of Escort parts from www.rockauto.com, where you can put in your make, year, model, engine type - and click on the links, probably for cooling system. Each page has small images of the parts on the right side, and if you click on them they enlarge.
I have several Escorts, but all 2nd gen SOHC ones, totally different under the hood. You can find inexpensive Ford Service Manuals for the Escorts on ebay. They are the Ford pubs, very much better than Haynes or Chilton. Some of the illustations list the Ford part numbers for what they depict. |
