driver's side power window not working
I have a 2000 blazer ls 4x4. The driver's side window suddenly stopped working. I can still control the other windows from the driver's seat. Any advice as to what the problem may be and how to fix it would be appreciated.

Re: driver's side power window not working
You will have to check the inside of the door for bad connections etc...
A quick way to check is to remove the switch panel and swap the driver's side window connections to the passenger side switch and see if it goes up and down. If it does, the switch is the problem. If it doesn't, you will have to remove the door panel and check for a broken wire or evenmight have to replace the window motor. |

Thanks, this is helpful.
But one question -- where is the switch panel? Quote:

Re: driver's side power window not working
there might be an easyer way, pritty sure you said it was a power window, you should be able to turn the key on and put a volt meter on your battery. have somebody hit the down for the passenger window and see what the voltage is. Then hit the button for the drivers window and see if its the same amount or nearly the same. Not 100 percent sure if this will work but if it does let me know.

Assuming I need to have the window motor replaced, how much does that service usually cost?

Re: driver's side power window not working
We cannot tell you that, open your phone book and phone your local mechanics.
Better yet, get a repair manual and do it yourself. |

Re: driver's side power window not working
With the aid of a repair manual, you could easily do it yourself if you were handy with tools and logical with repairs.
