instrument cluster light out in my mx3, and i cant find how to fix it
i was installing a cd player in my car, and some of the wires touched and cause my dome lights to go out, and my instrument cluster. i put a new fuse in the "room" fuse slot, and it all worked. then driving home from work i got pulled over because my tail-lights were all out, it was a fuse and i fixed it, but also on the way home my instrument cluster was out, and the light for the control of where the heat goes(like feet, upper....etc) was out too. i took out every fuse in the fuse box, and the ones in the engine bay, and none were blown. so is there not a fuse for the instrument cluster, and the lights are blown, or is the fuse somewhere else?

okay if you can get your hands on an AutoProbe that would be useful...attatch it to the battery. go to your in car fuse housing and check each fuse individually while NOT uninstalling the fuse. you can check it by touching each side of the fuse prong (they will be on the top of the fuse and look like peices of metal on top). when you do this the probe will either light up green or red...if both sides are green the fuse is fine, if both sides are red the fuse is fine as well.. but if its red on one side and green on the other change it....its blown.
hope i helped..seya |
