Re: Supra Tranny in is300
You need special trans mounts, recalibrated ECU, etc.
www.tbko.com or www.toyomoto.com can do it for you. |

i am in the process of swapping my w55 for a v160 six speed out of a 98 supra. this is no easy task. the mount itself is not custom, but the trans crossmember is custom. the shifter cradle has to shortened by about 2 inches. the driveshaft has to be custom made, the stock shaft is not able to be modified. after all is said and done this swap can be done for less than 6K depending mostly on labor and the tranny. if the tranny is new, and you have someone else do the swap, count on spending near 10k.

Does anyone know if it is possible to import a 6 speed tranny from a Japaneese Tezza and put it in a Lexus Is300? I know on Ebay they are always selling JDM parts from cars in Japan.
