1993 E-150 Ecololine shift cable
Hey guys,
Lookin' for some help on replacing the shift cable on a 93' E-150. Talking to Aamco and Ford themselves this part is no longer made or should I say, "discontinued". Does anyone know what other shift cables would be available for other models that could be modified to fit or would fit without a flaw? The cable itself is not broken, but the plastic housing that holds it is. That is the problem. Once it is in park then I can go to reverse once, neutral once, overdrive once, drive once, and etc.. But when it comes time to go back it will not work. I have to manually go under the vehicle and put it in park by sliding the plastic housing over the cable into a holder and pressing the lever on the transmission into park. Any help or info would be great. Thanks. |
