Amp RCA jacks

Hi,

Did my first install and ran into some trouble when my amp wouldn't power on. Went back and looked over everything and there are a couple of things im not sure about:1. Which wire exactly does the remote wire hook up to? I Had it connected to a wire that says "amp ground", is that right or should it connect to another blue wire that says "antenna power"? 2. the instructions on the amp kit said to connect the RCA jacks to the left and right audio on the head unit, and i did. However, i have a lot of RCA plugs on the head unit and only ONE says " SUB RCA".What do I do?

thanks

Re: Amp RCA jacks

standard HU wiring:

Yellow - goes to a const 12V source
red - goes to a switched 12V source (only comes on when the key is on)
black - goes to ground
blue - raise antenna when RADIO (not CD) is turned on
blu w/white stripe - amp rem, turns on amp when headunit is on

on the amp:
pwr - goes straight to battery (remember to use a fuse close to the battery)
gnd - goes to a pl;ace on the chassis close to the amp. remeber to crape away all the paint and dirt
rem - the blue/white wire from the headunit connects to here

RCA's - if this is a bass amp, it will go to the RCA's on the back of the headunit that says sub. Remember that you might have to turn on the sub output on the HU.

OK, so in my case the RCA's connect to those that says sub on the HU. However, I only have one RCA on the HU that says sub. Which from the amp do I connect, blue or gray or is something not right?

Re: Amp RCA jacks

read the amp manual, it should tell you if you only need one input. It's odd you only have one SUB rca, you should have a pair. What headunit and what amp ?
