Re: BMW M3 GTR - Campionato Italiano Turismo Endurance 1/24
This is a really interesting project of a great looking car !
Tipically the kind of project I like to follow. But please make it easy to follow by posting pics one after the other and not all side by side. That ruins the readability of the thread. |

But posting pictures one under the other is better than having to browse to the sides to find the rest of the pictures (and text is also stretched to the edge of the screen in this case) especially when having a small screen Best threads need best readability ! I'll follow yours anyway but please think to press enter between pictures you want to post (editing your previous post with that would be perfect BTW ) your build really deserves to get the most attention possible |

Re: BMW M3 GTR - Campionato Italiano Turismo Endurance 1/24
Thank u all guys,
glad now u can see better pics. Just found now the website of the producer of the original chassis of my car. It is Wiechers AG from germany, and looking in the website and with my pics I hope to find some good images of the internal roll cages (my friend from jas Motorsport is aways, so cant ask him now the pics he has of the real car)

Re: BMW M3 GTR - Campionato Italiano Turismo Endurance 1/24
Going on with the rear part of the body and remoulding its lower part.
This m3 has the exhausts ending in the tail, while the other ones racing in the "Campionato" have lateral ones as the Nascars cars. A first coat of tamiya primer is also placed now. Another long work to do is to clean the internal of the body with my Dremel. Die cast toys have a lot of metal pins and metal flashes that have to be drilled away..this takes a lot of time, and creates a lot of metal dust all over.

Re: BMW M3 GTR - Campionato Italiano Turismo Endurance 1/24
eheh...always thank u guys.
The draw I have is from my friend working on the real car. It is anyway a generic one and not a real technical draw.I reduced that to 24th scale, keeping some measures from the toy and from the wheels (18 inch). Seems much more similar to a blueprint, maybe if u try search online in some 3d blueprint databases u can probably find it out (try type BMW m3e92 GTR) The version in the draw is different from mine one, seems an hybrid between dtm and VLN car,but is the only one I have so..I work on this, checking everytime actual pictures (also cause this car changes to a race to another) It is not me running so far..is just a car I started 1 month ago..I am a little forward to this point (finishing the rims and finishing to draw my decal sheet for printing)...so soon the updates will be a little bit slower glad u like it.
