I'd just ditch the SOHC alltogether. Get an H22A. It's worth the money.

i have a question i have a h23 supposedly rebuilt but has no compression on three cylinders and 150 on the other i double checked the timing according to helms manual its all properly timed can anyone help?

well the reason i ask is i have h23 but has no compression on three cylinders and 150 on one the f22 just got new valves before the oil pump locked up destroyed the block if would fit id use it untill i got the head for the h23 done

You've have to block some oil passages. You'd be better off getting the full motor, though. "Frankenstein" motors often aren't all that reliable. I've seen people who really knew what they were doing end up blowing stuff up.
Pull your motor, sell it to some dumbass that thinks it's a good motor. Then just shell out the $1000 or so for a decent H22A. Me and my friend did an H22 swap in 2003, and it's been running strong ever since.
