about to buy some rims...
i am plannin to buy some rims real soon but i am not sure if i should go 18 or 19... i just don't want any rubbing against the fender.. i am not planning to race with them either so what would you all recommend... i really love the clean, big rim tuner look on 350z's and stuff so i was going for the same type of look... i don't want the wheel gap either so if i go 19 will i still have to lower the car a little??i want 19"s but will everything still work accordingly, like no wheel rub and things of that nature...

Re: about to buy some rims...
i think 19s are pushin it, cant remeember 4 sure, but i think my friends 3s(first gen) had 18s on it with 245/40/18's and that was pretty close, and yes, even w/ rims that size, you'll still have more wheel gap than you think

Re: about to buy some rims...
Bigger rims DO NOT equal less wheel gap.
For instance On the stock base Stealth 15 inch rims there are 205/65/15 On the stock 16 inch rims there are 225/55/16 or 245/50/16 Stock 17 is 245/45/17 Stock 18 is 245/40/18 The numbers change with each size but the tire is staying the same(or close to the same) diameter. Stick with 18's and for a SOHC the only real way to lower it is with coilovers. Heres mine on Megan Racing coilovers. They are TRUE coilovers and not the sleeved Ground Control or ebay type.

Re: about to buy some rims...
Ive got 9 inch wide wheels, so I could go with 275 width.

18s look better and seem to fit the proportions of the car better IMO
