Hey guys, I am new the Mazda community so Hello!! to everyone here. I got my hands on a 1995 Mazda 626 2.0L 5-Speed a couple of weeks ago. The problem I am facing is something like this. The other day...I took a can of seafoam and ran the entire can through the brake booster line and took another can and sprayed it in the throttle body, scrubbed the inside with a long brush and put the TB assembly back together...when I started the car after about 35-45 minutes....it started up just fine...of course a lot of smoke and crud burning up but what I noticed was that the car was always reving between 1900-2000 RPM does not matter if its hot or cold. I took off the TB assembly to see of the butterfly plate is stuck open or not but I dont think its stuck open or anything of that sort from what I could see. I tried resetting the computer by disconnecting the battery terminal....but to no avail. Another problem that I experience while driving is that when I am driving normally at any speed and press the clutch all the way down and keep it down....the RPM starts to jump from 900-1600 and this drop to 900 and the jump back to 1600 RPM happens within 1 to 1.5 second approximately. However when I come to a complete stop...the RPM gets stable at 2000 RPM. I dont know what to do...I dont want to dump this car or sell it cause its so nice to drive when working right....PLEASE help me on how to solve this issue. Thank in advance.
