repsol nsr '99(doohan)
hi guys,
i've started repsol nsr '99 doohan's version few days ago & i know that someone is doing the same too so i'll try my best to make it look good. i'm making it directly from the kit as i'm not sure whether there's any details upgrade for the nsr '99 or not. i'm sure it'll give some better look with the details up part. anyway, here are the pics of the frame with swing arm attached in different angles. i'll redo the side fairing as it's caught with some deep metallic blue excess on the orange part in the air vent hole. i'll also put some work on the seat cowl & the bottom cowl provided if the weather is pleasing. adrian |

looking good, not an easy model to paint but yours is cool. I am also doing the kit, but it will be using the Barros '98 decals.
keep the pictures coming please |

Ace, your production rate is SO high, can't see how I could do so much in such short time even if I was unemployed.
I agree with you 91p10nizmo, the seat decals are a real pain. This was my second bike and I brush painted the cowls. Looks terrible today... /Joel

Re: repsol nsr '99(doohan)
hello guys,
thanks for the comments & warning on the seat decal, i'll be careful for that. here are the photos without the fairings & the mufflers in different angles. i'll put them up tomorrow in the morning. otherwise, it'll be in the afternoon due to work commitment or even at night after my game of bowling. actually, the decals set i have that time have lost some colours on some of them. i got it when i went to the capital i think 1 month or 2 months ago & that time a toy store was having a bargain that is buy 1 get 1 free & that was one of them. now i see why that nsr was a part of the bargain, they must be delighted of getting rid of the old stock. ironically, when i asked for some details up parts, the workers would give me a look & ask me all sorts of questions like as if they have not heard of them before. adrian |
