Yeah you can post pics. I use www.imageshack.us and then just paste the hotlink for forums 1 into the text box.

Re: What is a epicenter E12-908D-6A for?
ok so i pulled off my gauges and tracked 4 wires comming from the gauges (not factory i assume)
and from there i tracked them down to the epicenter e12-908d-6a now the epicenter has 2 wires that go in to it and then the wire from the dash itself and then comming out of it is a flat wire that has 5 connecters at the end all the connecters are flat with a black plastic piece there are 2 on one side then a small space for what could be a wire i guess not needed and then 3 more wires/connecter ends i dont see any place for this to go in the car and beings alot of people have installed reverse gauges do i need this box to run them or can i just tie them in to a different hotwire ie. the tail lights neone know?? |

If he got cheap gauges they could have just gone to hell, I've heard of that happening before, I think I might be part of the crowd too unless mine just blew another fuse.

Just get some $30 ebay ones and when they burn out get new ones, mine lasted for like a year before they went bad.

It should plug into the gauges somewhere, I believe that's the wires for the lights and stuff. Pull out your gauges and see if that's where it connects.

Re: What is a epicenter E12-908D-6A for?
well i am not sure if he did some custom work to the gauges
my reason why i think this is there were 4 wires comming out of the gauges from the top and bottem of the unit each one is more or less like a speaker wire seems to be a hot and a ground they all wire together with little connecters then they plug in to 1 black wire Hot/Ground inside it and that come from that Black Box the E12 whatever and then 2 wires comming from that black box i am assuming is a Hot and a Ground to plug in someplace i dunno its a pretty confusing mess |

Re: What is a epicenter E12-908D-6A for?
Tha black box is the inverter for illuminating plasma gauges. Converts DC power to highvoltage AC power, I think.
One thin wire is for power. Two/four thin wires feads the gauges. One thick wire usually goes to some kind a switch, to adjust brightness and/or colour of the gauges. U can NOT use the gauges without the inverter. U can probably not buy new gauges without included new inverter. |
