Re: New caliber hate or like
^ If you're really a tech you should know that there's a fix for the armrest movement. Buy a stinking import then, and work on rebuilding Honda's all day long. There are plenty of them in the shop...

Re: New caliber hate or like
I think some people like to point out the bad aspects of a car rather than what is good about it. The Caliber isn't for everybody, there are a lot of things about it that would turn me off if I wanted performance. I have had mine since December and love it. As a matter of fact I haven't found anything about the car I don't like.
I guess it's all a matter of opinion. |

Agreed. Not every car is for everybody. Hence the existence of so many varieties.
Generally I think people tend to post dislikes; I agree with you there. |

The price of even cheaper vehicles is financed for 3 - 4 - 5 - years by people so you want to be sure it will meet your needs for a while. If you take 6 months to figure out that it is not for you, then you will take a real beating trying to trade it in. And you will complain more and tell everyone what a POS it is when in fact what really happened was you bought the wrong car for your needs/likes/desires. |

Re: New caliber hate or like
I think it's funny how people jump on a bandwagon when it's about the bad. You very seldom see anybody talk about how good a product is, unless they own it. I would never talk about how bad a car was if I had never driven it. I may think it's visually unappealing but without knowing for sure I would have a hard time calling it junk.

I really like mine. I can tolerate the slow acceleration. Gets great gas mileage (about 25 mpg in my experience.) Mine has around 18,000 miles on it, with no issues so far. Have only been to the dealer for regular maintenance. Good car, IMHO.

Ours is the low end SE model and we have been getting 29+ mpg. The only downside for me is the road noise from the Dunlop SP70 tires ... Loud enough to be a nuisance.
