Pro's and Con's on the 1970 mercedes ??

Looking for some pro's and con's on a 1971 mercedes.. I have an opportunity to buy one that has only 85K miles on it.. I do not specificly no the model, but i do no that it is a 6 cylinder and its gas.. I'm figuring that it is an E or C model ?? Any info will help in my decision of purchasing the car.. Of course I do know that the parts are expensive as this won't be my first Benz.. :+)

I would say parts are not that expensive over all. It will be a 250 or if 73-on a 280. It may or may not be an E (injected). Their fun cars that handle quite well given their age. They have a great old feel but are still new enough to be relativly practicle for a DIYer to drive daily. I switch between my 83 300D and 71 250. Great cars with great reliability if you don't count for the dual carborators which need adjustment frequently (replacing with dual webbers always fixes that problem )
