Re: rear demister
You will need to get a meter to check the connectivity and test for voltage at the screen. It could be a faulty earth, broken wire somewhere between the screen/relay/fuse/switch.

Re: rear demister
You will need to bypass the plug in the luggage compartment. The plug 'plugs' in ok, but for some reason the heater wires don't make good contact. Locate the heater wire BEFORE the plug and make a connection from it to the same wire 'AFTER' the plug (these are both different colour as I recall but obviously connected to the same pin on the two halves of the plug). Should work fine after that.

Re: rear demister
Yep, its down there. You need to get your head under the dash and there is a black cover that you need to take off...Basically it the the botom of the fuse box but you will need to play about to find out which relay it is exactly as they will all be lilac colour and they are not labelled.
I had this problem myself (before I thought of joining any forums) and it was a headache trying to pinpoint the problem.....trust me, if you can hear the relay and the button is lighting up, you need to bypass the connector block in the luggage compartment (its behind the carpet where the luggage compartment light is on the passenger side) |
