Re: 2g vs 3g which to buy
i would buy a used GS and turbo it. you can easily hit 300whp. you should be able to hit about 300whp on the stock internals

Re: 2g vs 3g which to buy
If you go FI, you need to tune your A/F ratio(air/fuel). Running rich or lean will damage your engine severally if you do it long enough. This will "blow up your motor." To do this, you need an AFC (Air/fuel Controller) and you need to take it to a dyno.

Re: 2g vs 3g which to buy
I can't see why you would want a 3gen.... I don't care for the looks to terribly much of the 1gens but damn they can be hella fast for pretty cheap...
2gens have awesome body stylings and can go hella fast for pretty cheap... 3gens are overpriced and cost alot to get that"300hp".... that's my

why you getting rid of the stang? Even the v6 stang has more potential performance wise.

Re: 2g vs 3g which to buy
more potential than what? the V6 stang has little potential that could get anywhere close to matching a dsm and even the 3g's offer a decent argument against the mustang, stock for stock a V6 eclipse should take a V6 stang w/ .8 more liters and a rwd advantage, i've got plenty of friends with mustangs and know enough to know they can't match my v6
now a GT stang is another story

as far as turboing your own car... cool. Go read in the racing forum there is a guy turboing his 3g and it looks like he has his head together. But if you go back to actually caring about speed... the 3g even turboed will not compare to a 2g gsx modded. And btw the srt4 is nice but its still slow. FWD=WWD. If you really want to turbo your 3g good luck. Look at that thread in the racing forum and talk to that 3g'er. as for the thread starter... as many other pps said here.. if you want new and "better" looks get the 3g. If you want speed and performance get a awd dsm. |
