Wiring diagrams
Hello fellow modelers!
I've started back into this wonderful hobby of ours after taking a break for many, many years. I recently purchased a few Tamiya kits along with a bunch of aftermarket goodies. I'm blown away by all the modeling talent on this site, and I have a question for you: Where can I find resources for wiring diagrams? I've noticed many of the builds here have intricate electrical wiring, but I can't seem to find any info on this subject regarding my Honda NSR500, or any other GP motorcycle for that matter. The help would be much appreciated!!! |

Re: Wiring diagrams
Can't say there are diagrams for the bikes but newer bikes (e.g M1/rc211v era) and the nsr500 bikes have been deeply covered in the book series Pit walk collection. I think a lot of basic routing can surely be found online as well. Can you specify what you are looking for?

Re: Wiring diagrams
Thanks for the info! Those were exactly the bikes I was looking for (Yamaha M-1, Honda RC 211 and NSR500). I'll check out the publications you mentioned. The internet isn't much help

Re: Wiring diagrams
You will not find A to B routing schemes in those books and probably not elsewhere neither. But you can get indepth photos of the bikes without cowls and see where the hoses and wires start or en up. Sometimes you can follow the route, other times it's just a matter of leading the cable ends into the cowl or frame to hide the routing.
I don't know if PWC is still avaliable. If you ask for specific bikes/season we are probably quite a few that gathered a large collection of ref pics through the years. |
