Yamaha M1 2013, Rossi

Hey, I give here first WIP. It's Yamaha M1 from season 2013 pilot Valentino Rossi.
Transkit is home made. Underseat hood is a copy KS W. My master I did not like. Decals are KS Workshop.
Motorbike in surfacer

Exhaust give a new, original KS W

Re: Yamaha M1 2013, Rossi

Charon - thank you for starting a WIP and not just posting completed pictures.

What is the base donor kit that you are using for the frame - swingarm - engine - wheels and body work??

If you have any pictures of how you modified the body work please post them and give an explanation of how you made the modification.

I will follow along to see how you are doing each week.

Cheers
John

Re: Yamaha M1 2013, Rossi

Thanks, It is M1 Tamiya 2009. The frame and engine are original parts from the kit. Rims are KS Workshop, part of the front fork is made of M1 2011.
The hoods are made of M1 2009, the front part is pre-bent in the area of his hands. Side panels have reduced vents and changed the lower part of the hood. The tank is from the original kit, extended 3mm and changed the line - tank / airbox cover. Underseat piece and Seat piece are a copy KS Workshop (my homemade :-).

The first photo beginning shape modification. The first version of your underseat part.

Fantastic work! The re-work of the cowls/tank cover is remarkable!

Thanks All!!!

Next step.
Cawlings with first decals, before masking (black area, on side cawling, tank and underseat tail). On the cawlings is a light coat of clear coat (zero 1k), fixed decals before masking. I must correct the a seat part.
Chrome colored fields are Hasegawa finish - Mirror.
