Re: Rear Suspension (calling All2kool)

That's a pretty good deal for $20. But I would have not been able to sell my old coils. They're the softest ones and they have 10 years of sag on them. I got myself the Airlift 1000 kit and installed it the other day. Took about 2 hours taking my time in a cold and wet garage.

The rear is definitely lifted back up to where I want it. It did stiffen it up but not too much. I'm running them at 20psi. At the max of 35psi, it's way too stiff and too high.

My only complaint is that since the rear is stiffened up a bit and I have the standard shocks installed, it's a bit too floaty. Looks like the top nuts won't be that hard to get out this time so hopefully I can do a simple install of some police KYB shocks in the rear to dampen the stiffer recoil better.

Re: Rear Suspension (calling All2kool)

Here are some pictures I finally had a chance to take.

Before:

After:

I reduced pressure to 15psi in the airbags and the ride is smoothed out to near-stock and no longer bounces around over bumps. It still stands at 1.5" higher than before the kit install. With 200 pounds put in the trunk, the height dropped only 1/2".

I'm very satisfied with this for only $60 and 2 hours of work.

Only thing left to do is aim the headlights up a bit to make up for the rear end lift.
