What size tires can I put on?
My 1999 dodge caravan currently has 215-65-16 on it I was just wondering if it would be alright to put 235-60-R16 or 225-75-16 on in winter tires? Would it make a difference in gas milage or ride?

Re: What size tires can I put on?
I put Michelin Hydroedge 225-60-16's on my 01. It is about a mile an hour off from the original 215-65-16's. This gave me alittle more width. I was told this size is the closest to the original size and would not affect the computer managment. They like to grab alot more being they are wider and they are somewhat stiffer on a corner, more responsive. Being they grab more I have to play with the wheel more to keep it straight. They do fill the wheel well in alittle too.
This site is helpful for comparing tires. www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp |
