some pics of my heads
Just so you guys know what SBC heads looked like before the LS1, lol. And those pictures were taken after dark, and right after they came off my motor. They're in the shop now gettin new valve springs (and you can see the springs, not very good, but in case anybody ever wondered, that's what a roller valve spring looks like).
First pic is the Intake ports of course. Ported pretty thin huh? If they were allum. heads, I'd probably already had problems because of that. And then the other pic just shows the valves (2.08/1.6). Notice how they're staggard (Exhaust/Intake-Intake/Exhaust-Exhaust/Intake-Intake/Exhaust). That's the way every small block chevy used to be. And 2.08 is almost as big as you can go on a small block. Those heads will take a 2.11 I think (not sure), but the biggest I've ever heard of in any SBC head is 2.15.
