What's wrong with my alarm?!
I hope someone here can help me out. I've had a Clifford Polaris 4 alarm for almost a year now. Currently, it doesn't seem to be working well. On cold and rainy days, it'll sound 4 beeps instead of the usual 2 when I arm it. And then, the alarm will go off in a couple seconds. And when I do arm it with the usual 2 beeps, it won't go off when i purposely open the door without disarming. What's up?

I have no idea what's up with that. I would contact the maker of it, and ask them about it. They would probably be your best bet.

i'm no expert but from what you're telling me it sounds like a sensor problem. 4 beeps is indicating like a door is open when you're trying to arm it so it goes off. you said if you open your door when it does arm properly, you said it doesn't go off? so i'm thinking check the wiring or sensors etc for the specific non-working door(s).
arm it and try slapping the glass or kicking a tire. any effect? maybe only the door sensor is awry. if it goes off from slapping glass or kicking tire. hope my non-expert advice is a little helpuful. just what my opinion of it is. i too have had alarm trouble. i bought my car with a non working alarm, and one day i walked up to my car... and it armed itself. out of no where. i didn't know i had a self arming alarm. but it started working all of a sudden. saved me $500 for a new viper alarm.

Could it possibly be my battery? Although it is only 6 months old.... Is there anything I can do to "reset" the alarm system? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

know what? i think that might have had something to do with my problem. it was either i had it on valet mode (where its remote entry but there is no self arming) or my battery was dead for the month of sitting in my driveway with my stereo on and modding my car before i had a licence. lol. so my battery wasn't sufficiently charged i'm sure, i'm not too sure if thats the case in this situation.
