*newbie* need help removing cd deck
hey wussup everybody, my pops just bought me a 99' civic ex....and it came with a piece of shiit JCV deck...being new to this automotive stuff..I have no idea on how to remove that lil sucker...I tried pulling it out but HAHA..doesnt work -_-' It seems as if the deck is held in to the console thing by screws on the sides? Does anyone know what am I supposed to do to get that stupid cd player out? am I supposed to remove the whole console or something? and how do I do it and the answer's yes? I'd appreciate some help guys.

Re: *newbie* need help removing cd deck
1.remove glove box
2.remove driverside knee bolster 3.remove center peice where 12v adapter is located 4.unscrew the screws holding the center console to the dash(up behind) 5.unplug green and brown plug from climate control unit. follow black metal wire away from cc and unhook it 6.use flat head screwdriver, to pop out the emegency flashers and rear defrost panels 7.remove screws that were behind those panels 8.pull out entire console 9. remove screws holding the deck to the console goodluck man. its not hard once you know where the stuff is. i do it all the time for misc projects and stuff |
