^^^ Hahahahaha..... Uh-oh... But I agree, you don't have the right to criticize anyone else when you have no proof that you can do any better.
(I'm not flaming anyone, just expressing my opinion) |

Top Gear tested the Elise and it was impressive, I believe it made the top 10 (around 7 I think), but not top 3, it lacks HP and downforce. Granted if you put all 4 cars on a tight course it might fare better, but I still think it looses. The Elise driver needs some work through those "S" turns he was taking anything but the best line. With equal drivers in those cars the Elise wins, so yeah hats off to the Type R driver.

Re: Civic Type-R Vs Lotus Elise
i have to agree about the whole rev limiter thing... i dunno what the problem was with stating his/her opinion about what was obvious... there is 1. a flashing yellow light telling you when to shift 2. the noise alone should tell you that its time to shift. Ya there isnt "proof" that i can do better, but i have my own word to go by, and that works for me!! ~dont be so quick to jump on poeple~ i dont doubt that even you could do better *if you know how to drive stick*

I'd say the Elise/Exige are still in the top three for handling in their areas (very tight corners). The Elise in this video probably had the narrower tires that Lotus started putting on, which explains this Elise driver's crappy line. Narrow tires = understeer = Honda Civic can keep up with you.

Re: Civic Type-R Vs Lotus Elise
he seemed a little excited to be hanging with the elise, hence on his shifting. When your motor doesn't have a lot of torque, you have to rely on HP and as such, keep the revs way up. The motor definitely does not sound stock and I would be sure he has modified the suspension. He is hitting good lines, but the car seems really pushy. But decent driving none the less... http://www.silverstangs.com/autocros...lmet%20cam.wmv
