amc 232 engine
iam wonder what would you need to bolt up a 232 engine to an automatic m-35 hydromatic tranmission in a 1960 amc rambler super six, i know the bolt pattern is the same and the dowels are different sizes but i dont know if you have to change the torque converter or the flexplate or what. any help would be very helpfull.

Re: amc 232 engine
The 232 of 71 would have the starter on the oposite side fo 1972 ,
the 195.6 is not the same bolt pattern ??? The transm is the same if you change the bellhousing for the 71 232,, and drill larger holes for dowels and larger bolt holes are in the later unit so maybe have to open up bell-h holes too,, the convertor, check the splines( count) and lay flat on table to measure I 'd guess the same. |
