Re: Best Bond Car

To me the Lotus is the best bond car 'coz it simply does what you think a spy car should do.... become a submarine...

Re: Best Bond Car

Id have to say the Vanquish or the Lotus Esprit. the most useless bond car ever....Aston Martin DBS in Casino Royale It didnt do crap in the movie. looked cool but no good gadgets. I mean geez even the maintenance van in the spy who loved me did more damage to the bad guys than the DBS .

To me the car chases are probably the best parts of the bond movies. In Casino Royale, it was spectacular although I feel Daniel Craig is one of the best bonds.
The Aston DBS wasn't the only useless car among the lot. We have the BMW Z3 too. Its gadgets were talked about, but never used. The Z8 at least shot down a helicopter before it was sliced in half.
To us Bond fans, having gadgets is a part of the Bond and having a tricked out car is part of the tradition from Q branch. What did these guy try to do with the new Bond movies? Erase our memories of Q and his magic?

Re: Best Bond Car

The new movies as I understand them now are based solely on espionage and the life of a spy..... 'Not knowing whom to trust; double agents, etc.... "

But Q branch and its cars are some of the most favored parts of the 007 movies and I'm hoping the new movies to come, we would at least in some way get that back.

Oh and I still think the Lotus was the best bond car.... It just looks the part so well....
My second choice is the DB5 and my third is ofcourse the Vanquish....
