Jaguar engine in 1950s racing car?
I was watching part of "To Please a Lady" movie made in 1950. The racing cars were the old kind with engine in front. When the mechanics opened the hood, I saw what I thought was Jaguar 6-cylinder engine with dual camshafts. In another scene, mechanics were rebuilding the engine. I think that the engine block was lowered into a crankshaft standing upright. Are they Jaguar engines in 1950s?

Re: Jaguar engine in 1950s racing car?
I watched the whole movie and found out that they stole the engine from a Jaguar XK120!
