Question Ek VS Eclipse GS

I was wondering is there any chance a Ek Dx with headers, intake, catback, and short shifts could beat a Gs with headers and a Stage 1 clutch

Re: Ek VS Eclipse GS

Depends what year Eclipse you are taking about

(assuming both cars are manual with drivers of equal skill)

the 99 eclipse gs puts out 130 hp and 140 tq and weigh ~2800 lbs 1/4 mile is approx in the low 17s

the 00 - 05 put out 154 hp and 163 tq and weigh ~2900lbs1/4 mile is approx low 16s high 15s

the dx hatch is rated at 106 hp and 103 tq and weights ~ 2300 lbs 1/4 mile is approx mid 17s with your mods...maybe you can hit high 16s

imo...you can probably beat the previous gen eclipse...but not by much...the newer eclipse would walk you
