2001 ES300 stalling
My 2001 Lexus ES300 stalls daily but not when first started up in the morning. Always the 2nd or 3rd time it starts for the day, it stalls, unless I rev the engine while riding the brake. Maintained faithfully with oil changes every 4-5,000 miles.

Re: 2001 ES300 stalling
What is the mileage of your car? This info can help us in determining if certain components are that the end of their expected life such as oxygen sensors and spark plugs. Also, if your check engine light is on, you can get it scanned at most auto parts stores for free (except parts of California)
First check that all the electrical components are within specs such as spark plugs, wires, etc. Then check the idle air control (IAC), positive crankcase ventilation (PCV), and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves for proper operation. If all these are okay, then the next culprits are usually the coolant temperature sensor and the throttle position sensor. This list comprises the most typical causes of warm engine stalling...hope this helps!
