Question 4g63-t turbo manifold upgrade

What brand or type of turbo manifold would be best to upgrade from my stock manifold? I have seen so many of them. Don't know where to start.

Re: 4g63-t turbo manifold upgrade

What kind of car do you have and what are your mods? More than likely your stock manifold is all you are ever going to need. The stock manifolds flow very well. Are you just wanting something to look better? I wouldn't suggest a stainless tubular manifold because they are expensive (DNP brand is $600+). Stay away from cheap offbrand stainless manifolds because they wont fit right and they will crack over time. If you really want to upgrade I would go with a FP cast manifold. They look good, are streetable and reliable, and they perform very well.

A Shearer manifold is your best bet. Price one out, then come back with relevant info so we can help you.

Re: 4g63-t turbo manifold upgrade

1. What car
2. What turbo
3. What current mods
4. What goals
5. Why an external gate
6. What's your budget

For the love of god, if you want a real answer, help us out a bit.

FWIW, you do not need an aftermarket manifold to run a gate on one.

Re: 4g63-t turbo manifold upgrade

ok! dang chill, im trying to get all of that together. its a 1997 eclipse gst spyder, i want to do some kind of t3 or t4 turbo. im not sure what turbo would be best. only current mods are hks cams and gears. my goal is to get as much power as i can but keep it street drivable. maybe somewhere between 400-550 hp the reason for the waste gate is i just want more options with it. i was told the stock waste gate is internal so you would have to have a flange. idk nothing about it, thats just what i was told. this is my first 4g63 and my budget is anything i can buy. money is not limited. im just trying to build this car right. i want it to be the best it can.
