Dash Lights On Start Up

Hi guys,

just got home with my new(ish) Pug, 1998 106 Look. Sexy little mover she is too.

It's been a while since I owned a Pug, so just one question. When starting my ignition, the airbag light AND the fuel injection come on for a few seconds before going out. I know the Airbag light should do this but the manual doesn't say anything about the fuel light doing it... Just doom and gloom and fuel injection problems and cat problems... I take it they mean if the light stays on.

Is this normal? Does anyone else's do it?

LMK pleae it will put my mind at rest!

Glad to be back in the Pug club... haven't had one since my old 205.

Re: Dash Lights On Start Up

the engine management light does come on for a few seconds (self test) on start up, as long as it goes out all should be well, when its on and stays on or flashes thats when the ecu has picked up a running fault that could affect the emissions its all about looking after you "cat"
