Celicas aren't that fast. 180 hp on a car isn't like 180 hp on a bike.

A4 doesnt handle as well as a 3-series, however it is AWD... But the three has been and always will be a better car according to every magazine you'll ever read.
You probably wont be able to find a MK IV Supra or a 3rd Gen RX7 for $10,000, but a MK III Supra Turbo or a 2nd Gen RX7 should be. But if you want reliability, i'd avoid these. Just Google "BMW E36 3-series" and you should find some info. O, and beware the 318, much too underpowered. |

HA audi is the best handling car ever maybe u should read sum magazines and find out why audi cant race in alot of competiions anymore hmmm because it is the best handling. the 3 series is good speed tho go check out the audi rs6 movie in the video forum ull know wut im talkin about , but u can find an rx-7 with ease under 10 but ur rite the supra is pushin it a lil bit

i bet people are waiting for me to come say this. but this seems a perfect fit for this guy. i would look at a nissan 300zx. they are fast for under 10k. you might even be able to find a tt for under 10k.

Re: what should i get for 10 grand
Buy an MX3 GS, and do the KLZE engine swap on it, add suspension, intake exhaust etc. etc. you know what to do... In the end, you spend 10Gs and have a sweet car that is fast, and fun to drive.

Audi cant race anymore cause its handlings too good??? I have much respect its old rally cars, the R8, and the RS6, but for a road car, nothing except Porsche and Ferrari (and a select few others) can touch BMW. Ive drivin both, alot, and mags that focus on road cars (ie- C&D) have never put an A4 ahead of a 3-series, ever. Consumer Reports called the E39 5-Series "the best car they've ever drivin." BMWs are NA, and therefore are more reliable, and have more potential for power. And just to top it off, the fastest street legal car in the world (The McLaren F1) uses a NA BMW V12. You cannot go wrong with an E36.

Im assuming you are referring to me in the other thread as saying the 3 series has better handling then an RS6, which i did not say, I did however say it has better handling then an A4. I sure do hope Audi can make an $80,000+ car that handles better then a $28,000-$40,000 car...
And I do believe Bentley won the most recent LeMans, not Audi... I'll give you the fact that Audis handle better then Bimmers on Snow and Ice, because Audi's specialty is AWD, while BMW is RWD, which isnt so good in bad conditions. Comparing the RS6 to the regular 3-series is like comparing a Porsche 911 to a Ford Mustang, its just a matter of different classes. |
