2012 Azera Winter Traction
We had our Audi totaled and we went to look at a Santa Fe and came out with a new Azera. The Audi was a Quattro AWD and our other vehicle is a 4WD truck so we don't have experience with FWD. I was wondering about the Azera in snow and ice in the winter. I stopped at a tire store and asked about snow tires for the front and they said not to put them on the front but to put them on the back so when you brake it would grip better. They also to do it right I should buy four wheels and four snow tires and use them for the winter and forget about just two.
So my question is...how are the Azera's during the winter...do you think I will need snow tires all around. Here in central Ohio we don't get a lot of snow but we do have several weeks or more with snow covered roads. Thanks, Sonny01 |

Re: 2012 Azera Winter Traction
The Azera was new for the 2012 model year, and haven't been out all that long, so don't know if many have experience with the new Azera in snow conditions. If it's anything like other Hyundai's, it'll do just fine. I have driven numerous Hyundai's during the winter, and all perform great in the snow. I wouldn't worry about snow tires until you drive it first without them. No sense in wasting the money if you don't need them.
