How hard is it to make 13 second GSR/Type-R?

Well I own a N/A 3000GT, and I used to have a LS integra which I loved, but didn't like the speed of. I was just wondering how much it would cost and what's involved in getting GSR (preferably) or a Type-R in the 13 second range without nitrous.

Well since you don't wanna run n2o I guess the last post wasn't of much use. I just got my hands on a teg, and don't profess to know a lot about it, but I think getting there N/A is all but impossible with out n2o. Forced induction would be a good route, and from what I hear super chargers are a little more stable(and by that I mean have less effect on the reliability of the car) that turbo systems. You could probably run a 13.5 ish or so with stock internals and a moderate super charger(properly tuned). replace the internals and bump up the psi.....you'll hit 13.....im sure.

Yeah turbo or supercharge would be an option. Also what about with the 1.8 DOHC non Vtec?

That would be the catch. You've got high compression...which means low boost and even then it's dangerous. But the good news is that should still be enough for a 13 if you put cams in and a good high flowing exhaust system. Have your ECU tuned for those cams and your turbo application. If you wanna go all out, change your internals out get a bigger turbo and bigger fuel pump and injectors, and maybe bigger exhaust piping & a bigger intercooler.

You'd be a street rapist if you maintained it.

It shouldn't be that hard to get a Type R into the 13's NA. The Celica GT-S got 13.740 with just an AEM Intake, unbolted stock exhaust, Apexi PowerFC, Drag Radials, and minor weight reduction.

Does anyone make lower compression pistons so I could boost more?

yes JE does plus you can get after market headgaskets that will lower the compression , a freind of mine has a gsr turbo thats in the very high 13's but i still blow the doors off him

Think people misunderstood or over looked this question so I'll answer it. Yes the LS motor would be a great motor to turbo or supercharge. It has the lowest B-series compression and even a little more torque than the GS-R motor. Very boost friendly, some run 12psi safely with stock internals. Honestly if I were you I'd go with the LS turbo route. It's at least a grand cheaper than the GS-R motor.
