front driver side noise
I have a 2003 hona civic 4-door. There is a noise coming from under the wheel well on the front drivers side whenever I go over a rough road or any bumps. It is a metallic, clanking- type sound. I brought it to the dealer and they put a dampner around the top of the left hand shock, but the noise it still there. I've tried to ignore it, but I am bringing it back to get checked out again.
Things I've noticed: - It doesn't happen when I turn the wheel. - The car has to be warmed up to hear the noise. Any suggestions? |

yeah what he said, i have a 94 civic and mine does the same thing and it is my upper control arm bushings. so that may be what is wrong with yours but damn that is a 2003 so it shouldnt be out that quick, having it looked at would be the best thing anyways cause it should still be under warranty

I'll mention that tomorrow ( that's when I take it in). It's just tiring that I have to have some idiot at the dealership tell me "I can't hear it" when I can hear it everyday. It's a shame but I feel if I took it somwhere else they would figure out the problem and it would be fixed, but then I would have to pay for it.

yeah that sounds about right, and then he will tell you what you need to do is leave it with us for a day or so and we will check it out and then you get billed for something the warranty wont cover....happens all the time
