Upgrades without affecting warranty???

I just purchased a 2004 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Liter Hemi. I love the performance of this motor but would like to increase it without affecting the warranty. I'm looking for more horsepower and torque......Any suggestions????

Re: Upgrades without affecting warranty???

I know a couple that bought a brand new truck and had the dealer install dual exhaust, and because the dealer performed it, warranty wasn't voided.

I would suggest that you ask your dealer what you can get away with without voiding your warranty. They would know best. They probably won't lie to you, because they likely want your money. They won't tell you you can't have dual exhaust because they want the 1000 bucks it will probably cost you to put it on, and keep your warranty...

How much HP do you need???? If 345 isn't enough, go drop your $45K on the SRT/10! 500 HP should get you there quick enough.

Re: Upgrades without affecting warranty???

Putting on pipes does not void the warranty. You can put on a nice set for a little over $200.00 with flow master's. That'll give you a little more horse's and bump your gas up a little. Throw in a high performance chip and a K&N fuel injection system kit, and you'll really notice a difference in both power and mileage.

You can only put on pipes without voiding the warranty if you let the dealership do it. That's what they told me anyway. They could have been lying just so they could have my money, I didn't let them do it anyways, I had it done custom.
