SR20DET Red-top for sale
I'm selling an SR20DET red-top with a 5 speed trans. The only parts you will need are a MAF, ignition control modoule, and some kind of an intercooler. The swap includes a remanufactured ECU and a brand new, never used wiring harness + whatever pieces of harness are on the motor.
This motor was purchased from a local import shop a couple months ago and i was about to drop it into my 240, but then i started school and i ran out of money for the project so i sold the car and now i have this engine/trans laying in my garage. The invoice price for the motor when i bought it was $2400 from a highly respected shop. Its supposed to be a low mileage motor, and it sure looks like it. I can part with the swap for $2300. for an additional $100 i will give you a 90mm Q45 Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF). I think i have an ICM from a Q45. You can pick up the stock intercooler for free on a forum or ask around tuning shops. YOU WILL NEED TO PICK UP THE MOTOR AND TRANS FROM SUBURBAN CHICAGO. ITS LOCATED IN WHEELING, IL AND ITS FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY! I can deliver up to 100mi for a charge. shipping this thing would be a huge pain in the ass and i already paid for shipping once. Feel free to send me an email or PM me for additional info. The price is not negotiable - its a good engine and i'm not about to give it away. I can provide you with the original invoice if you wish. |

Here are the pictures. AC compressor is not on the engine, but i have it and the brackets for it. Also i have the stock viscous clutch fan, turbocharger outlets, and other stuff. As you can see in the pics, the wiring harness has never been used. Email or PM me with any questions.

actually its not that clean. if you look at the exhaust side of the engine, there is a layer of soot there. then look at the turbocharger's exhause inlet flange - its blackened where the gasket was. this engine had a large exhaust leak between the manifold and turbocharger. when i got the motor the bolts holding the turbo on were loose. There are no sensors or wiring in that area so nothing was damaged, its just a bit dirty. the rest of the engine is really clean and shiny.
