Wow!!! Where do you keep all those!

That's quite a collection...especially notable are the Peugeot 607 (those are amazing), the BMW, and the classic Mustang.

Perhaps you could answer this, I've been wondering for a while...In North America, there was a special SVT version of the Ford Contour (Mondeo) with 200 hp. Did Ford ever offer 200hp in the Mondeo anywhere besides North America?

Anyways, welcome to AF! I'm sure you can share a lot of knowledge about the cars in your collection and many others. Also, you will find several other New Zealanders on the boards, you're not alone

Hey Heep
Thanks, my BMW is my favorite, I feel lucky that I still have it after I got rear-ended in a classic car race (Which Car & Driver were paticipating in a Saab 95 or 96 I can't quite remember)
My Peugeot is a business car and the Mustang is something handed down from my grandfather.

I have the 2002 and Mustang in storage up in Auckland, the Prelude at my bach, the Coupe sits in the garage, The Peugeot in front of the 1st garage door, the Courier that goes in front on the lawn, the Mondeo is in the other side of the garage and the Yugo sits on the Curb with the keys in the ignition, the Renault (Which is pretty much my fiancee's car) is parked behind the second garage door, the 'Yota is currently helping a mate out down on his farm (But usually is put in the shed and the XR8 is my Wellington car (Used a lot by my cousin though)- lol- well you did ask me where I keep them all

About your ride......That Escort is identical to the Japan/NZ made Laser which is identical to the Mazda 323 of its time.

The Contour did not make it out of NA to my knowledge becaus the ones made for Asia, Europe, Australia and NZ come from a Belgian factory not a US one.

Later

Yes indeed...only problem is that North America was never offered either Turbo or AWD like the Lasers....

Hey Chris
I am a junior Executive at ASB back, and work as a chartered Accountant.
I have been thinking about getting an early 90's model Mini Cooper, which would give me a good excuse to get rid of the Yugo which refuses to die.

Later Jimmy

Must be quite a shock getting out of the 607 and hopping into the Yugo....

why don't you sell all of them and buy 1 or 2 more exotic cars?

Actually, the newer minis arent much better than the older ones. In some cases, they are worse!!! I would recommend a 60's era Mini Cooper, a Cooper S if you can find one for a good price.

I could never sell any of these cars (Except the Yugo) because we have been through a lot together, plus they are better (In my opinion) than any exotic car (except maybe the 996 911 Turbo)
Chris:
A 60's Mini Cooper is a bit out of reach (They fetch $20,000 upwards) but a mid 90's one could go for about $5,000, plus insurance would be cheaper for a 90's model

Whats the exchange rate between Canada and New Zealand??? I know that Mini Cooper S' can fetch a lot, but there are deals to be found. My views are also influenced by the fact that there are very few mini's here, and almost all of them are old.
