Re: how much TROUBLE am i in...loose lug nuts on rims..

Plus overtightening of your lugs can warp your brake rotors.

I use anti-seize on my threads for my studs/lugs because I"m changin tires 4 times a weekend for races. I've run into too many broken studs that putting the stuff on starting 2 years ago and I have not had any problems since.

torque them all once then go back around again, and if the torque wrench doesnt click immediatly and u have to tighten em a little again the second time around then u cross threaded ur shit. BUy some studs from sutozone or somethin they cost like 2 bucks, and take ur car to a shop and theyll do it for lke 25 bucks in like 20 minutes.

If they are cross threaded then the wrench won't click AT ALL!
Tighten them to about 50lbs. the first time around then go back and final tighten them to 80lbs. doing it both times in a star pattern, don't just go clock or counter-clock wise. If you start with the right lug, then tighten the left one next, then go to the top then the bottom. That's the proper torquing poceedure of lug bolts.

Actually you are supposed to torque them down then roll the car back and forth and retighten again.
