Japanese Monster Engines

Lets face it, when it comes to reliability, we all know the Japanese have most other manufacturers beat. Some have developed a following among Petrol & Gear heads alike. Most for either in turbocharged or supercharged form, have given larger V8s and V12s a colossal run for their money.

Now its time to see how much of a following these engines have: Choose your favorite 4 & 6 bangers above...

Here are the nominees for the most Monstrous Japanese 4 Cylinder engine:
  1. Honda - F22C1 Inline 4 from the Honda S2000
  2. Honda - R18A1 Inline 4 from the Honda Civic
  3. Honda - K20Z2 Inline 4 from the Honda Civic
  4. Toyota - 2ZZ-GE Inline 4 from the Toyota Corolla

  6. Mitsubishi - 4G63T Inline 4 from the Evo IX
