dash light problem need help
The lights that correspond with my shift stick between my seats are out. All the lights in the dash work but the lights between the seats don't. I have a 1998 camry and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to anyone who can help me!!!

Re: dash light problem need help
I think it may be the light bulb so if anyone knows how to change the bulb please get back to me either here or on AIM.

To replace that bulb, the console must be removed.Care must be taken when prying the center panels off to access the screws.

Re: dash light problem need help
I take it that you have an automatic transmission, and which Joe is correct that you'll have to remove the trim panel that goes around the shifter. You will also need to take the shift lever assy completely off, and remove the black plastic part that goes over the light bulb, and replace it. This should correct the problem, if not, refer to your owner's manual and check the fuses.
