ferrari... well... not for the purist.

so my buddy bought this revell ferrari kit, took his time painting it correctly and putting the thing together. turns out when it comes time to put the body on the chassis all hell breaks loose, nothing fits right, things are breaking and he gets pissed and gives the model to me. it just so happened that i had another kits frame laying around so i started to do some cutting, long way to go on this one but here are some pictures...

i plan on stripping the paint and making it italian red once again. it was going to be a mad max esque painted vehicle, but its just not doing it for me anymore.
questions, comments and concerns are welcome

Turn it into a crazy Dakar rally car, or a monster truck! A huge wing on the back!

Go for it mate! A 612 can only have its looks improved, impossible to worsen!

You're in the wrong place - here we talk about building model car kits! Try going here to the Toyota section and go into the section for your model Toyota (or the "Other Models" section), then click on the 'NEW THREAD' button at the top left and ask your question. Best of luck!

That is SICK! Sick I tell you! Honestly, that's a great use for your parts. Should look really nice when you get it done! I'll be watching this build...

Although, when I saw the HOC cans in the background my hope was for something more inspired than arrest-me-red.

I saw on "Supercars Exposed" on Speed the other night they had the street version of the Panoz racecar painted in Chromalusions paint. Very trick.
Just some thoughts.

Re: ferrari... well... not for the purist.

thanks for the comments guys, i didnt know what the reaction would be. one of my roomies is a ferrari nut and he liked it, he pretty much said the same thing as rockinanko.

carl63, i doubt this will end up italian red,
i say it will but it wont
hot pink is actually somewhat tempting but i dont think i could ever look at it without peeing my pants from laughter.

Awesome, I like the shell how it is now: in full "Mad Max" atmosphere!
All you need is a big steel bull bar and a big intake on the nose, like those for those supercharged V8' radial carbs.
I wouldn't beleive I like, but... I like it
