850 starting problem
I have a '96 850 glt, w/ 125k miles. This fall & winter the engine will crank & crank, but will not "catch". I I turn the key off & try to restart, it will start (but run incredibly rough for 15-20 seconds). If you press down on the accelerator when it is running rough, it wants to "bog down & die". I have also noticed that the engine temp gauge is showing "mid level" even though I know that the thermostat hasn't had time to open. Just spent $300 with the dealer, and he wants to go fishing for more possible problems. I hope someone has an answer that wont cost more than the car is worth!
