First system, need help choosing components.

So I am trying to build my first system on a budget and do not have a lot of money. Luckily my brother works at a shop and can get 50% off Fosgate products through July 21, so my heart is set on RF amps but I am not so sure about subs.

I listen to tons of rock, alt, metal, classic rock and asked over 20 people over the weekend at the shop what the best sub, or subs would be and 14 of them said Alpine Type R for that type of music, so I might get 1 or 2 of those.

So right now I have a JCV head unit with 4 Kenwood KFC's inside my 97 Accord and I am going to get a Rockford Prime R150 or somethings similar to power those.

The problem is what to do with Sub and Sub power.

Here are the prices I can get RF amps for, and I think the 300.1 is a good deal, but will it power 1 10" or 12" Type R, or 2 for that matter?

My price

RF Punch 300.1 $112.00
RF Punch 400 $179.00
RF R500 $103.00

Are there any other RF sub amps for around these price ranges?

Will either of these power 1 or 2 Type R Alpines? I read that these things need to be pushed hard to get the goods out of them.

I would love to spend around $150 for 1 or 2 subs.

Also, my brother said he just did an install on an Acura with only 1 10" Type R and he said it sounded like 2 12's, is this possible?

I know almost nothing about the new RF amps but get the one that is class D, they are made to put out more power at low impedances. Getting good bass in a trunk car has mostly to do with the box and postioning it right.
