CTS Navigation Option
Has anyone come up with an answer for this question that you posed? I recently picked up my CTS (traded the old Seville) and if I could figure out the "fix" to have the DVD run while out of park, it would be perfect for us.
Hopefully somebody, somewhere, has this bypass already figured out. Bill Z. |

Six months and nobody has found out the answer???. I just bought a 2005 CTS with Nav and same thing, DVD video blanks out in gear. The dealer gave me a "cheat sheet" but it doesn't seem to work. You are suposed to press the "musical note" button and hold it until a "code screen" comes up, but when you press that button (on the sterring wheel) it merely changes to source (to the radio) and we pressed that for 2 minutes with nothing. If anybody wants to experiment with pressing and holding other buttons until some code screen comes up, please post your results. I have the 4 digit code at home (am at work now) and will post the code if anybody can get to the code screen.
See the other post with similar title for a happy ending Last edited by cadillacmike; 01-13-2005 at 11:11 PM. |

Re: CTS Navigation Option
My boy has a Yukon denali and he has the same problem. Not sure if the navs are similiar but what I hear is you have to add a switch inline with the park to drive sensor. Once you put the car in drive, hit the switch and the radio will still think your in park. I remember reading this awhile ago but look in the Yukon Denali forum and you should be able to find the post. Sorry guys I'm a BMW m3 man but my roommate has the 03 CTS so I'm looking for him. So I hope this has enlightened everyone to find the post....Thanks....Mike
