Mild shudder on acceleration

Hello All, I'm new to this forum, but not to Intrigues. I purchased a 2002 Intrigue GL last July that has developed a mild shudder-type vibration while accelerating from about 20mph thru about 50mph. At highway speeds, it seems to occur after goin into passing gear. It also seems to be more noticable if I have additional passengers in the car, particularly in the back seat. It almost feels like something in the drive train is out of balance, or possibly a mis-fire, but engine power seems smooth and I get no check engine light. It's not tires, as I've had them checked (both sets). Had the front axle boots checked at each oil change and they are not torn, but I suppose it could be worn CV joints. Car had 56k when I bought it, now has 68k. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Tom

I would check the engine mounts and the front wheel bearings.

Re: Car won't start, crazy electrical stuff. Help please!
Thanks Kmohr3, yes I feel I paid a very fair price. It has the Eibach lowering kit, 2 sets of tires and wheels (original wheels with winter radials and Katami 17" with High perf Michelins), 56k miles, and other than a couple of door dings, the car looks like it came off the showroom floor (even under the hood). But I guess we've digressed from the original intent of the post.....My apologies.

Oh hey, sorry panzer, I didnt notice that it was the same person, I wish this site had sig requirements, where people have to put their mods and whatnot in their sig, makes for easier troubleshooting.

I just thought I was insane for a second there.

Re: Mild shudder on acceleration

It has the Eibach lowering kit

-that's the way it is on this forum now. You look for the warning signs right away.

It's CV joint problem most likely. -Better than a tranny problem. Maybe even a gummed up shift solenoid. I would manually shift the car some and notice at what shifts you see a shudder.

1998 Intrigue -positive on the Eibach kit.
