Amp install help!

I'm trying to figure out a way to get my 4 guage wiring from the battery to the amp in the trunk. In previous installs on different cars, I was able to find a hole in the engine compartment that led to the main compartment, and then I just fed the wire under the carpet into the trunk.

In my 2002 Eclipse, I can't seem to find a hole that leads to the main compartment. For those of you who did your own installs, how did you lead the wire to the trunk? Do I have to go under the car, or drill a hole? Thanks a lot for the responses.

Re: Amp install help!

Ok heres what I did to hook up my system...i have a 03 but it should still work out fine..

First, take off the driver side panel..(the one on the floor)...and driver rear speaker panel. Next, peel back the carpet on the driver side.

This is what I did. Approx 2-4 inches, below the foot rest pedal, drill a hole big enough for the wire. Once the hole is drilled, it will lead to the ground. Patiently, feed the wire through the hole. Either going towards the battery or to the trunk. Since its exposing to the ground, simply take a zip tie, and tie it up under the car.

Than simply hide the wires. If it still doesnt quite make sense, let me know.
