Help Identify this part

I have a '94 Passport 3.2l 4x4. 179k miles. Valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube seals were leaking, had a mechanic friend do the work at my house. After work was done I had a large oil leak under truck (friend says rear main seal which was leaking a little prior to repairs) but I also found this bracket on the frame rail on passenger side. I have looked at the exploded views of the engine on myisuzuparts.com and can't find it. I think it may have been bolted to the back of the valve cover to keep the cam plugs in....I don't know. Thanks.

Re: Help Identify this part

I tried to link some photos but I don't think they attached. Bracket is 6" long and 2" tall, rounded at one end and appears to have been next to something round as it's work a little bit. The other end has two tabs bent over with small bolt holes (about the size of the valve cover bolts). I'll work some more on attaching the photos.

Sorry!
It looks like a shield for a pump.

I like brighton Mich, but don't miss the cold!

Re: Help Identify this part

where the valve covers leaking real bad prior him touching that? the drivers side is a pain in the butt to keep in place and also the rear bolts are hard to get tight. chances are the gasket isn't sitting in the correct spot and will have to be redone.
