I saw one recently, with a 305 chevy, 275 horse. He said it was easy to get in, and claimed a high 11 quarter. I dont believe it, but it would be fast. There was still room, too (NOS, anyone??) A 400+hp Northstar would be good.

i've driven V8 fieros and they are stupid fun.. but just a bit out of my price range.. it's easier and much more fun to blow a cocky camaro or mustang's doors off with a V6.

But if you put in new internals or a cam, you probably already yanked teh engine, so just sell it (or keep it, just in case) and put in a bigger, much more powerful V8 (there are TONS of swaps for 5L fords, and they are cheap and easy to mod)

noone makes a 5l ford swap.. Zumalt and zumwalt made hokey SCB swaps and V8 Archie makes the best SBC kit. itve driven V8 fieros and yes their fun but just too rich for my check book right now.

I am positive I have seen 5L ford swaps, they have 225 hp. These were a little old, so maybe they dont sell it anymore, but it was once.

<bump>

I've never heard of a ford 5l swap... you could swap in a chevy 305 and have a real 5.0 Fiero...

I'm pretty sure it was the 5.0 L (302). Maybe it was the 351, but I think it was the five-O.

the only five-o that anyone makes a kit for is for the chevy 305. or nearly any SBC. the ford engine won't fit with out extensive reengineering of the rear cradle. and why bastardize a pontiac with a ford engine?

I am absolutely positive it was a ford engine. I agree that a Chevy SMB is better. But some people have different preferences, and they might love ford engines, but they like the Fiero's potential.

Welcome top AF! And feel free to PM or E-mail Fiero owners here for info, they would probably help you out.

No, I dont own a Fiero. I am currently looking for a car, and I am now considering a Fiero. If I got one, I could quite easily see a 350 living in the back, though
