no power at wot
have a 1997 crown vic with 40000 miles car runs fine at light accelleration, but when u put it to the floor nothing , tthe rpms drop and tne only way to get it going is to get off the gas. what do you think im ready to sell it

If it was me I would be doing the following:
Clean MAF New Plugs, wires, if necessary. and New fuel filter. I would reset the computer after this is done, and go from there. |

Check fuel pressure, I'd be you don't have much (or it drops off under acceleration). Changing the filter is a good first plan.

Crown Vics eventually kill off their catalytic converters. When one fails, your top speed drops to nearly a crawl. Ford will be happy to replace them, though, they're $1200 a side.
